ACADEMIC ENGAGEMENT

Dovetailing of theory and applied science is our motto

Sonntag & Partner traditionally cultivates a very close dialogue with universities and universities of applied science. Our partners and employees assume teaching positions in their respective areas of expertise on a regular basis.

We offer student jobs and internships to interested and committed students and so-called Referendare [persons receiving practical training in judicial or other legal work after having passed the first state law exam] while we also give students the opportunity to apply and expand their theoretical knowledge in the scope of writing their diploma, master or doctorate thesis.

Every year, Sonntag & Partner acknowledges excellent doctorate theses by awarding a dissertation prize.

In 2009, the prize was awarded to Florian Holzner for his doctorate thesis "Private Equity, the use of debt-financing and the protection of creditors. An analysis of the necessity and the posibility of corporate regulation of debt-driven corporate financing".

In 2010, the prize was awarded to Tam Phuoc Dinh Thi for her doctorate thesis „The Capitalization of Research & Development (R&D) Expenditures in Germany - Empirical Evidence on the Costs and Benefits on the German stock Market“.
